One Awakening rhapsodizes awakening into abiding Presence--so blessedly unaffected by life's variables. Starkly soothing and poignant, each song articulates an aspect of our own deepening awareness--even as we collectively awaken.
Self-produced from our little oasis at the base of the Pine Nut Mountains in Northern Nevada, One Awakening gently beckons us to journey through our hearts into our timeless inner radiance. We can then expand more lucidly to the swarming streets of our life stories.
You'll hear two "bare naked" stories on this EP. One is about my sunbeam of a son, "Gabriel, Angel of My Heart," who transitioned in May 2023. This EP is lovingly dedicated to him. The other, "Spectacle" almost wrote itself after I miraculously found my brilliant brother, Peter, living as a street musician on the boardwalk at Venice Beach, California.
Do these songs evoke any life stories for you? I hope the songs serve as lanterns of encouragement as you climb life's cutting edge during this upheaved, murky-looking chapter of history. Being from heaven and of the earth is not for sissies--so thanks for showing up!
